Peace and Prosperity
Lily pads 2
.Lily pads #2 Acrylics and Oils on canvas 16" x 20"
I went to visit a life long friend who has a home in New Hampshire we went to one of the lakes and I spent some time kayaking amidst these colorful water lilies. They were a little damaged by the weather but still beautiful and alive producing their flowers. As I thought about them I understood and could relate to the damaged soul, the imperfect human life. Even though I have come through so much after loosing a child I still try to be a thoughtful human. I still try to be productive and to achieve the receive the blessings from God. I know she is in heaven waiting for me to arrive one day I will see her again, but in the meantime, I do my best and try to become successful here on Earth. So then I have to ask what is success, prosperity? Maybe in our life it's the love and the light we bring to others? I think so. This is why I paint the 3L's Life love and light.
King Turtle
King Turtle
Living under the sea this king Turtle needs to breath outside of the water. He needs to be connected with two worlds one he feeds the other he breaths.
Like the sea turtle I feel connected to God and Heaven my Breath, I needing my lord to live. Without my faith the world I feed in would be empty, and without meaning, not to mention without any hope. Like the turtle I look up, swimming in this sea. I hope Gods Radient light will shine on me.

Reflections of a Tiny Man
Award winning painting September 2025 juried show "reflections" There was a young man whom found a really nice tree on top of a mountain. he could look out and see the world all around. in many ways it was overwhelming. so many things he could do. But he sat staring and wondering where to begin. time flew by summer became winter then years flew by and he remained sitting under the tree. He didnt know why he couldnt move forward so he just sat.
So many ways I could relate to this little man. I have goals but where to begin? and then will I succeed or is it just a waste of my time? I could sit and think about this and not move forward or progress on my dreams.
I thought I'd paint the minimal abstract of this story using thick paint strokes and then I used this style to portray the mechanical or pixilated feel this broadens the dimension of the world.
